Create YOUR Personal Fundraising Page

STEP 1:         

Create an DanForest.com Account:

• At the top right hand side of the homepage find the statement: “Sign up and get involved with other supporters:”

STEP 2:       

Enter your email address and zip code in the appropriate box and click the Go button

STEP 3:         

Complete the Become a Member form

• Type in your First and Last Name
• Type in your personal password that you will use to securely log into your account. Then, retype it to confirm.
• Select if you would like to receive information from the campaign about how you can help and/or if you would like to publicly endorse Dan Forest for Lt. Governor of NC.
• Click the “Create Account” button

STEP 4:         

Complete the Become a Member form

• After clicking the Create Account button in the previous step, a new page will open on your screen.  This is your personal dashboard.  If you entered in your first and last name in step #4, it will appear at the top of this page.  This page is your personal campaign headquarters.  The page is divided into three column sections.  Please look in the middle column and find the section titled:  My Fundraising, which looks like the image to the right.  Click the button labeled “Create my fundraising page”.

STEP 5:         

Creating Your Fundraising Page and Building Support

• By default, the name you created for your DanForest.com account will also be used in your personal fundraising page URL.
• You can leave the title of the page as “XXX” or you can type in your own title
• You can also leave the default description text or change it by simply deleting the current text and typing your own message.
• Set your fundraising goal here.  By default, your fundraising goal is set to $1000 but you may change the amount.
• Finally, you will want to invite your contacts by clicking the appropriate icon indicating which of your contacts to invite. Click Edit to complete the setup.
