Dan Forest is the Republican nominee for the office of North Carolina Lt. Governor. He earned the Republican nomination by winning a commanding 96 of 100 counties in the July second primary election after traveling over 150,000 miles and visiting nearly all 100 counties during the campaign.

Dan is a leader in the business community having served as Office President and Senior Partner of the state's largest architectural firm – Little Diversified Architectural Consulting. He holds two undergraduate degrees from UNC Charlotte and is a graduate of UNC Charlotte College of Architecture.

Dan is active in his community and church and is the founder and current president of the Triangle Leadership Forum and the former chairman of the board of the Wake Forest Pregnancy Support Services. Dan also serves on the North Carolina board of the Heritage Foundation and the board of the Faith Driven Consumer.
Dan and his wife, Alice, reside in Raleigh, along with their four children, ages 7 to 19.

I believe in small government, low taxes and free enterprise

I believe in the sanctity of human life

I believe in school choice and competition in education

I believe public education decisions are best made at the local level

I believe in securing our borders against illegal immigration

I believe in medical malpractice reform

I believe community colleges should play a key role in job training and economic development

I believe North Carolina should opt out of the national healthcare plan being forced on us from Washington

I believe in ending corporate welfare and recruitment incentives and replacing it with lower taxes for all North Carolina   businesses

I believe small businesses create jobs, not the government, and we need to repeal excessive regulations on our job     creators

I believe that policies should be enacted that encourage personal responsibility, not government dependence
