Dan Forest, candidate for Lt. Governor, issues new statewide radio ad today 

(Raleigh, NC) -- Lt. Governor candidate Dan Forest has today launched a statewide radio ad.

A transcript of the Dan Forest radio ad follows:

“I’m Dan Forest, Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor.

“North Carolina is a great state, but we can do better. We have the fifth (5th) highest unemployment rate in the nation. While many of our families are struggling to make ends meet, and many of our businesses are fighting to keep their doors open, we have the highest personal income tax, the highest gas tax and the highest corporate income tax in the Southeast. 

“It’s time to get the burdens of taxation and regulations off the backs of our families and small businesses and put NC back to work. 

“My background is business, not politics. I have spent my career in the private sector creating jobs. My opponent has spent her career as a government employee. Her background is bureaucracy, not business, and she is heavily funded by the unions.

“We don’t need the unions coming into North Carolina and killing our ability to create new jobs.

“On Election Day, you have a clear choice: Who do you want holding the gavel in the State Senate - a career bureaucrat or a businessman? 

The choice is yours.

Dan Forest is the Republican nominee for the office of North Carolina Lieutenant Governor. He earned the nomination by winning a commanding 96 of 100 NC counties in the second (July 17th) primary after traveling over 150,000 miles and visiting nearly all 100 counties during the campaign. Dan is a leader in the business community having served as office president and senior partner of the state's largest architectural firm. Dan is active in his community and church and is the founder and current president of the Triangle Leadership Forum and the former chairman of the board of Wake Forest Pregnancy Support Services.
