The latest Public Policy Polling report shows our campaign with a 38 percent to 37 percent lead over our opponent.

Democrat Linda Coleman and Republican Dan Forest are running neck-to-neck in the race to decide the next lieutenant governor, according to a Public Policy Polling report released Monday.

The poll shows Forest with a 38 percent to 37 percent lead, well within the margin of error plus-or-minus 3 percentage points. 26 percent remain undecided.

In other down-ballot races, PPP shows every incumbent enjoying a lead, and a sizable gap in the state Supeme Court race:

State Treasurer

(D) Janet Cowell, 41 percent

(R) Steve Royal, 36 percent

Undecided, 23 percent

Agriculture Commissioner

(R) Steve Troxler, 45 percent

(D) Walter Smith, 35 percent

Undecided, 21 percent

State Auditor

(D) Beth Wood, 40 percent

(R) Debra Goldman, 36 percent

Undecided, 24 percent

State Supreme Court

Sam Ervin IV, 32 percent

Paul Newby, 24 percent

Undecided, 44 percent
