Friends,
It's official. The unions are trying to buy the Lt. Governor's office and we need your help to stop them.
Today's article in the Raleigh News and Observer shows what we warned you about earlier this month.
The State Employees Union has withdrawn their support for Democrat Gubernatorial candidate Walter Dalton and instead will put their resources into the Lt. Governor's race. They are doing so because they do not want to be on the wrong side of the Governor's race, which appears to be breaking for Pat McCrory. The Unions have already given our opponent $400,000 and will likely give her another $400,000 before our race is over.
They are helping our opponent because she is the former Personnel Director for the State of North Carolina - having been appointed to that role by Governor Bev Purdue.
The winner of this race will serve as President of the State Senate for the next four years, presiding over the legislative agenda pushed by our new Governor and the General Assembly.
Who do you want holding that gavel? A lifetime bureaucrat heavily backed by the Unions or a businessman? Read the article here and then decide.
If you favor keeping Unions out of North Carolina and keeping North Carolina a strong "Right to Work" state, please help us match their support by donating $25, $50, or even $100 today. There is too much at stake to let the Unions buy this election.
We have the best shot in nearly 25 years to win the Governor's mansion. Why stop there? Let's give Pat McCrory the Lt. Governor he needs to deliver the agenda he will pursue.
