Dan Forest, the Republican candidate for lieutenant governor, will visit Brunswick and New Hanover counties Wednesday a part of his 70-plus county “economic development listening tour,” according to a news release from his campaign.
During the tour, he is meeting with economic developers, business leaders and small business owners to hear “what needs to be done to turn North Carolina around,” the release said.
Forest, who faces Democrat Linda Coleman in the November election, will meet with John Hinnant of Wilmington Downtown Inc., followed by a speaking engagement with the Wilmington Rotary at Cape Fear Country Club and a meeting with supporters at the New Hanover County GOP Victory headquarters at Independence Mall.
Later in the afternoon, Forest will meet with the Alliance of Brunswick County Property Owners, then visit the Brunswick County GOP Victory headquarters at 971 Old Ocean Highway in Bolivia, according to the release.
